Fixed Income / FD's / NCD's

A fixed-income security is a debt instrument issued by a government, corporation or other entity to finance and expand their operations. Fixed-income securities provide investors a return in the form of fixed periodic payments and eventual return of principal at maturity.

A fixed deposit (FD) is a financial instrument provided by banks which provides investors with a higher rate of interest than a regular savings account, until the given maturity date. It may or may not require the creation of a separate account.

Non Convertible Debentures: Debentures are long-term financial instruments which acknowledge a debt obligation towards the issuer. Some debentures have a feature of convertibility into shares after a certain point of time at the discretion of the owner.
